Umunthu Theatre

Since its inception Umunthu Theatre has focused on the talent available in Malawi, plays, comedy, bands, film and club nights have all been hosted in the Umunthu Theatre. Relevance to the needs of the community around it has opened the doors to an IT center, music studio and even 3-on-3 basketball within the Theatre.

Based in a converted garage the theatre can seat 280 people with a standing capacity of 600.

The theatre has previously been based through Harry’s Bar in Lilongwe but has now found a new and more suitable home in a converted Warehouse just off Paul Kagame Road in central Lilongwe.
